Purpose:
The public is invited to this Public Hearing for the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the above referenced project. A PD&E study is FDOT's process to evaluate the social, economic and environmental impacts associated with a planned transportation improvement project. The purpose of this project is to develop and evaluate interchange design concepts to improve connectivity to I-95 for all modes of transportation within the study limits.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and FDOT.
If you would like to review the project documents prior to the Public Hearing, they will be available to the public beginning on Monday, February 25, 2019, at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center located at 2650 Sistrunk boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311 (Monday and Wednesday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and at the Florida Department of Transportation, District Four, 3400 W. Commercial Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The documents will remain on display and at http://browardat95.95Express.com through Thursday March 28, 2019.
