Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
With electric vehicles becoming more popular, we are working with regional partners to ensure access to a wide network of EV charging stations. As a municipality, we have two roles: first, to make permitting for EV stations consistent and as easy as possible, and second, to install public EV charging stations when we have the resources. Making the stations available is being integrated to our Complete Streets policy and manual. We also encourage and appreciate the investments of Fort Lauderdale's private businesses and HOAs to make EV charging available to the public.
This map indicates the stations which we own and offer, or which have been reported to us. Please view the details for each station to determine its location, hours and access requirements. If you own a station that you would like to list on our map, please click the [+] Feedback button above and let us know. Include the location name, address, contact phone number, whether the station is public or private, hours for access, and type of power provided. You can also check the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center for station locations in and outside of our city limits. They offer a great mobile version and downloadable app for iPhones.
