Recycling Customer Service
Five parties work together to deliver excellent recycling service to Fort Lauderdale's residential community.
Recycling Customer Service is expertly handled by our 24-hour Customer Service Center. Representatives can take orders for new services, handle cart repair requests, issue vacation stops, explain notices, log complaints and answer virtually any question you may have about recycling. 99.9% of requests and questions can be attended to through Customer Service, but if you have a particularly unique situation and they are unable to assist, they will connect you with our Solid Waste Coordinator. He or she is authorized to escalate your requests, communicate on your behalf with vendors and do a site visit if necessary.
If you need a new cart or need to have your cart repaired, one of our friendly Cart Shop Representatives will do an on-site visit to assist you. All city personnel are uniformed, drive marked vehicles and will present identification.
Our vendor, Waste Management, helps us to troubleshoot customer concerns. Please keep in mind that drivers are not permitted to exit their vehicles. This is for the safety of all concerned. If you have a question or concern about your driver, please call Customer service and they will speak directly with Republic on your behalf.
Finally, in the event of a solid waste violation or illegal dumping, our Code Compliance Division and Fort Lauderdale Police Department stand ready to assist. You may contact them via Customer Service.
