Join us on Tuesday, January 27 at 7:00 pm at the Upper Room Art Gallery (300 SW 1 Avenue / Las Olas Riverfront) for a unique art and cultural experience. Traditional Seminole Artist Pedro O. Zepeda will begin carving an indigenous Florida dug-out canoe entirely by hand from a cypress tree that fell during Hurricane Wilma. The massive log measures 18 feet and weighs more than a ton. The event is part of the gallery‘s “Tribal Arts Project” which highlights the indigenous local craft and design of the Seminole and Miccosukee Tribes. For details, visit www.upperroomartgallery.com
