The City of Fort Lauderdale and the Fort Lauderdale Police Department invite youngsters to join us at the 2018 Teen summit presented by the Fort Lauderdale Black Police Officers Association. This free community outreach event offers teens between the ages of eleven (11) and seventeen (17) an opportunity to engage and interact with local law enforcement through a series of workshops focusing on social media posting, bullying, life skills, etiquette, leadership, character development and more. The sessions allow teens to interact in a manner that is fun, informative and tailored specifically to their age group. A major component of the Teen Summit is the “Interaction with the Police” session, that is designed to foster positive relationships with police officers and offer preventive strategies against juvenile crime, burglaries, gang violence and substance abuse. The event also features a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, live entertainment, prizes and giveaways. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage and bond with Fort Lauderdale Police Officers.
