Household hazardous waste (HHW) includes common household items that contain toxic chemicals and therefore need proper handling during disposal.
The Salvation Army will be onsite to collect items in good condition, including:
*Clothing
*Shoes
*Linens
*Small household items
*Small kitchen items, and
*Dishes
No furniture, mattresses or other large items will be accepted.
Proof of residency in the partnering cities of Fort Lauderdale, Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Lauderdale Lakes or Tamarac is required (driver's license or utility bill) for hazardous waste and electronics drop-off.
There is no residency requirement for donations to The Salvation Army.
