The Broward County Waterway Cleanup, now in its 39th year, is one of Broward County’s largest and longest running environmental events. In 2015, nearly 2,000 volunteers of all ages by land and by boat worked at more than 30 locations across the county to remove 15 tons of trash and debris from our waterways, rivers and canals. You do not need a boat to participate!
Registration is required. The Waterway Cleanup also offers essay, short story and art scholarship contests for middle and high school students. It is followed by the Trash Bash, with food, drinks, raffle prizes and live music.
