Cancer Awareness Month on City's First Pink Street

WHERE: Intersection of S.W. 2nd Street and S.W. 1st Avenue (Brickell Avenue) in downtown Fort Lauderdale
WHAT: Join Fort Lauderdale Mayor John P. “Jack” Seiler and AutoNation CEO Mike Jackson as they officially kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month on five downtown blocks of PINK STREET! The Pink Street (a.k.a. S.W. 2 Street) is a Fort Lauderdale first and is part of AutoNation’s coast-to-coast DRIVE PINK campaign, a national initiative to raise awareness about breast cancer.
The ceremony will include brief remarks. Then, Mayor Seiler, Mike Jackson and other VIPs will grab the pink paint and rollers and put the finishing touches on the unique roadway.
